Full Circle!!! I am back to 4th Gens!

My affair with Toyota started in 2005 with a used 2004 4 Runner Sport V-6 4WD, we drove that vehicle for 100,000 trouble free miles and traded it in a few years ago. It was sorely missed. In tr mean time I have drove a 93 Pickup, 2008 DCab Tacoma and 2011 Tundra Crewmax since and although they were awesome trucks, I just always missed my old blue 4 Runner. Wifey is tired of our 2012 SR5 Runner so its going to be traded for some fancy sedan if I know her! I found a cherry 2006 Limited V-8 one owner with all options and a stack of service reciepts. And as fate would have it, its my favorite color- blue like my old sport 4runner! So I am embarking on a 200 mile trip to pick her up today. Its just a old used 4 runner but I am pretty pumped to have a 4th gen in the stable again. Sad to see my 5th gen go but for me the 4th gen has a V-8 and more options on it. Cant wait to feel the V-8 growl!

I know what you are saying. I had a 06 that I loved. I sold it and bought a 11 4Runner which is a very nice SUV, but really missed my 06. Finally found and bought a 06 V8 sport and love the V8. Still have my 11 4Runner with no plans to sell it, but like my 06 much better. Never had the first thing go wrong with any of them. The first 06 replaced a 2001 Explorer that had mulitiple problems. My extended warranty maybe saved me from financial ruin!

So, was your 08 D-Cab tacoma a TRD? off-road or sport?
Is it any better than a 4th gen 4runner? I'm asking cuz I LOVE those taco's and looked around ALOT before I bought my 06 V8 runner.
