Full Length Roof Rack

Rolled my 4Runner last week and got some roof damage, does anyone have a suggestion for a low profile full length roof rack that would help cover these dents? IÂ’m not really into the basket racks though.

there are a million roof rack threads if you search but if it were me i would start by dropping the headliner and beating some of the dents out that way, maybe not even perfectly but at least smooth it out a little.

doubt it exists but maybe building something like xterras come with factory would be a good answer for hiding it.

I just got the BajaRack G5 UTility (flat) Rack and I've very happy with it. Feels very solid. Install took me a few hours and I've already loaded it up a few times and it works great.

Might check out Rocky Mountain Racks in Colorado. I've got their shorter rack but they make a full length version for the 3rd gens. I've been pretty happy with mine! Carries all sorts of toys and tools throughout the year and it's pretty easy to find ways to mount stuff to it.

I worked with Front Runner to piece together a full length rack. I really like it and the quality is unmatched. Drilling is required though.

I second Rocky Mountain Racks-- while I don't have one, I've met each of the owners and seen a handful of the racks in person, they kick ass. Very sturdy, well-built, great attention to detail, and super low (less noise, better fuel economy). I opted to have a custom full-length similar to a Gobi made, but if I had gone a different route, I'd definitely have an RMR on my 4Runner.

Brought it to the body shop to get an estimate, the guy asks me, “Why you bothering to get it fixed, that adds probably 50 horsepower, and it increases aerodynamics so you can haul butt.” I just laughed, until he got back to me about how much it would cost to fix the roof along with the other broken things on my truck.

So how much to fix it? Or. Price difference between fixing and a roof rack?

make sure you drain the oil out of the cylinders before you try and start the engine post rollover.

Well the total to fix everything including a new hood, fender, mirror, power antenna,front bumper and all that jazz, roof skin, rear quarter panel, and the front flare. And then you add all painting and install on the top of that and the total came out to about 11 grand, just about enlightenment to buy about twelve roof racks.
