Full size axles

Is anyone running full size axles like dana 60's in the rear? I'm interested in doing a swap and wonder if I have to shorten or not to still fit in the same size trails I can now. If you are getting what I'm saying.

Yeah, a D60 will be quite a bit wider than you Toy rear axle. Dana 60s are about 69", and IFS rear end is 58"

Ok thanks for the info. That would mean they would stick out about as far as my boggers do now. So i might be able to get away with not shortening it. I would just have to find the right set of rims i guess. How is your SAS setup? Is it still leaf spring or do you have coilovers?

Width depends what you get the Dana from, I guess. Old Mopars had 59 3/8", 60", and 61 5/8" widths.

Do you have an idea as to what year range of old Mopar truck that i would find it in? I may have time to go to the wrecking yard this weekend to take some measurements.

I just only want to have to build it once. I dont like building something breaking it and doing it again the way i should have done it in the first place.

My trucks on leafs. Just your typical ruf setup.

You should go fill width front and rear. You know you want to. Build it once and right. Haha. You said it!

No, sorry. I just know the mid 60s through early 70s Mopar muscle cars had them. I would assume those cars are probably hard to find these days and have probably had any good parts (like a Dana) picked.

Looks like they can be found on trucks with some ease, but would require some work to cut them down.

The red truck looks about how my runner did with the 35x16 boggers on it. I just dont want to be too wide and end up hitting both my tires on trees on both sides at the same time. That would suck. The runner would look good with the 1tons. I'm looking into doing 4 link front and rear with coil overs. It will be pricey but I think its the best option. I'm goimg to beef up the IFS for now and once I have my parts for tje swap I can sell the whole IFS setup

Here's the runner with the boggers
