Fumoto Quick Drain Valve

Anyone have experience using one of these on the 4Runner?

Their fit guide is a bit vague for T4R's. Just lists Toyota all models '93 and up..gonna call them and find out for sure. I've used them on other vehicles and man what a lifesaver!

Get the Fram Sure Drain
Easy to use and the hose allows you to place it straight into your drain pan (avoiding splash on top of your skid plate). No mess at all. The valve has a solid cap to cover it protecting the valve from damage and failure. I've been using one on mine for close to 8 years now. My only advise is I would get a hose clamp to secure the hose on the valve release, just for added security, it just slides on kind of snug and can loosen up over time.

Works Great

I've had one on my 2007 V6 for the last 90K miles. Lay your pan, reach up with one hand and open the valve, no mess to worry about, when it's done draining close it back up. I also have one on the wife's BMW, no issues.

I had one on my 22re and have one on my 3.4, makes life real easy. So, if it means anything, my '86 and '97 oil pans are the same thread pitch....

I have it used it on my Toyota for 260,000miles and it works great. Don't have to worry about tools or stripping out the bolt hole.:humble:

I used one on the wife's Legacy as the oil absolutely GUSHED out of that pan when draining it, made it much easier to not make a mess. I really liked it, I had the one with the nipple so you can slide a hose over and route it straight into an old oil jug. Just make sure it won't be a low point on the vehicle if you're going to be offroading at all.

Used them on all my 3 toyotas, not using one is for amateurs. This is smarter not harder thinking.

As owing an 2013 T4R, Toyota recommends changing the Oil Drain Plug Gaskets on each oil-change; so Fumoto users never change the gaskets?

Well since you don't loosen the pressure or torque from the drain valve threads, never thought to remove it and put a new one on. Hasn't leaked on any of them.

Definitely no reason to change washer on fumoto. Stays crushed since you removing bolt. Just flipping opens valve. Replacing my bolt next oil change. Had one of previous car. Awesome.

I'm still on my original gasket when I first put it on over 260,000 miles ago.
