Yes, it's about race.

Obama is at it again...race card all over again....

Why you keep denying it's not about race? Yes it is!

Whilst I agree that the jury had to acquit him of the charges, I think we cannot deny the fact that this case definitely about race. Hear me out, if TM is white, would GZ have interest following him at all? If GZ did not follow him, would there be an encounter. If there was no encounter, TM would still alive, period!

I do not know if GZ is a racist or not. It's non of my f-ing business to determine that. And that is not what his charges was about. Did he act in self-defense, I think YES, hence, not guilty. I love this country and I love its justice system!

Wait, i am confused. You said that this is a 100% PURE race issue...but can't come up with a single factoid to say that GZ was racist and thus profiled Trayvon. Did i miss something? And you even said that if Trayvon was white, GZ would have ignored him. Evidence?

The ONLY "racists" that i see are the liberals and Obama who keep on bringing up the race card where none exist in this case. So, again, what is your evidence to say that GZ-Trayvon incident was a race thing??

Did you even listen to Onama's press con?

Did you even listen to Obama's press conference? I'm sure you did! I'm no Obama fan, and not a Limbaugh listener either. He did say the justice system worked as it should and that the defense and prosecution did its job. And I think BHO made a good point in talking about our "Race Bias" which all of us are guilty of. We all make assumptions and biases base on various things such as gender, sexual-orientation etc. WE are all guilty of race-bias. C'mon, be honest.

trayvon = black kid wearing hoodie= z followed him= profiled

trayvon = black kid wearing hoodie= z followed him= profiled

SeattleCyclist was referring to racism playing a role in the profiling by GZ. Trayvon could have been a white kid wearing a hoodie and GZ would have followed. There is no evidence to suggest any racism in THIS case.

I did not say GZ is racist and I also did not intend to find out if GZ is racist. Take a look at my response on #327!

"Racism playing a role in in the profiling" is totally different from "Race played a role in the profiling"

Yes, you are definitely confused my friend!

Yeah Ok...whatever that makes sense to you. :moon:

Why is it that when someone tries to justify their liberal opinion, they immediately claim that they are not a fan of Obama? :D

Sounds like you're the closet racist to me. I can tell you I am 100% not race biased. And I know I'm not the only one. Sorry.

Just thought I'd mention here. My best-friend growing-up was black. I saw second-hand a few racist incidents here and there. But the worst, and the only ones I saw that made him tear-up, were insults from other black people: "How dare he have white friends", "how dare he make good grades", "how dare he speak proper english." No group is free of guilt here and we all have to collectively decide to move past this. The president going on TV and stoking the flames for political gain is shameful and I'm actually surprised he stooped that low.

If your perception of what he had to say and why was that he was "stoking flames" then you certainly had a strong bias and preconceived notion of his statement way before he even opened his mouth.

I am a white mid-40's professional and conservative who is certainly racially biased who supports and voted for this President. I'd vote for and support him all over again.

Again, stop making this case bigger than what it is and feeding the frenzy.

Well, I'm sorry to hear that you fit the stereotype of the typical middle-aged, racially-biased white man. But, the first step in healing is knowing you have a problem. You cannot have true equality until you drop any racial biases or pre-conceptions..... Positive or negative, it doesn't matter. Accepting stereotypes and bias, yet voting for a mixed-race president doesn't make you enlightened, contrary to popular belief. Bias=ignorance, period.

As far as the president goes. I think commenting and imposing his own views and opinions on a highly controversial court case that has already been settled is beneath the office of the president and achieved nothing constructive or helpful to the situation.
