gas hood shock coversion

Anybody know if there is one out there. Any help would be appreciated. I am putting 351w coversion and do not want to mess with prop rod. Again any help will be great.

ebay sells a quick little kit. has the shocks, the mounts for each end, and instructions. its pretty easy. i think the kit was about 25-30 bucks. they sell a kit just for 3rd gens

i got all the stuff to do it just havent taken the time to install

parts i stole/purchased from a take a part are hood shocks from an aztec 4 dollors a piece and the mounts from an hhr free.

The gas props sound like a good idea until they start to fail. Then the hood comes down on your head, not such a great idea.

Wow, someone doing a FORD conversion??

At least you chose the Windsor block not the Cleveland. 50 lb difference in weight's a lot.

I've only seen one other Windsor conversion and it didn't work out so good for him. The Windsor is a mid-block and quite big compared to a 289/303 block. Kinda curious how the cooling system and exhaust will turn out. Keep us updated.
