gaterose build thread

Holy crap. Thats some light output. Makes it pretty tempting to get a couple bars myself. Your build is pretty sick and the wheels set it apart from the rest. Keep it up!

Thanks for the compliments! Yeah, it's certainly bright! I came across a good deal on those LED bars and decided to pull the trigger while I had the option.

BA, Matt. BA.
:hello:
Thanks a lot Kyle, hope things are going well with you and your runners (and school). We don't hear much from you around here anymore.

Gaterose is apparently preparing his rig for a vampire apocalypse.

Pretty much, my GF is a huge twilight fan and it has me scared... Next mod is silver clear coat for the skids and sliders.

Nah like I said I got a great deal on them and thought why not. I love having a lot of light to throw out there anyway.

Speaking from experience Jedi?

Let's just say my 4Runner transformation has taken a lot longer than I wanted it to because I encounter verbal hurdles like these from my wonderful wife:

"We need to be saving more for the kids' college."
"Was hoping we could do upgrades to the back patio."
"I really wanted a new front door."
"Will it ever end?"
"I want us to be able to retire some day."

Despite the resistance, I am blessed that she has let me do what I have done. I am also blessed that she's not a big shopper, has no desire to buy a $2,000 purse like her friends have, and is budget conscious. That budgetary consciousness is what sometimes infringes on my spending desires. It is good we have that balance.

This is also why when a buddy gets engaged, I tell him "Buy anything you ever wanted...now...before the wedding day. Want a bass boat? Get it now. New computer? Get it now."

at least I'm not alone..
