gaterose build thread

No, I haven't put any air and they ride great!

yes of course I have air haha... I keep them at 36 for even wear. They don't compress a lot until you get down to lower pressure, but it's still enough to keep standard air pressure.

They do ride pretty well though, not much worse than the Cs did

lol My buddy runs 10ply 35's on his jeep he only has about 12-15 psi in them and they still wear even lol but i guess that jeep is about 1500 or so pounds lighter. I'd love a set of 10ply's I'm on load range D with my MT's it'd be nice to run even lower air pressure off-road than i am now but they price those 10plys up there for sure

Gaterose, I got they lift on today, pretty easy install. Found out that I didn't have XReas lol. The only problem I came across are from my tires. I went with 285/70/r17 DuraTracs, on stock wheels and I can't even turn my tires an inch without rubbing the A Frames by the ball joints!! ToyTec told me that I can only go as wide as 265?!?! What the hell happened?!?!

Sounds like you need wheel spacers? check spidertrax. You can usually get their blems a little cheaper. If you search the forum you'll find a link to their blems page.

edit- wheels with less backspacing would also cure it but cost more.

Cool, I thought so. What size you think I need? What did you go with?

Picked up some new LED backup lights and an LED cargo lamp this week from LightSource (aka WhiteBeauty).

These LED projector reverse lamps are unbelievable compared to the PIAA Xtreme White halogen ones! I'm very satisfied! Here's a pic of one of the bulbs.

Both pictures were taken from about the passenger side door with 35mm f/1.8 and 1/50 shutter. The first picture shows LED driver's side and halogen passenger side. The second shot is LED in both.

The cargo lamp is very bright as well, actually a fair amount brighter than any other LED panel I've used thus far (including the so_LED panel) but I didn't get any shots of it. I plan on finishing the interior with lights from him, I'll post more pics then.

those type of high powered leds are bright, i have them as well, but still i use the back up fogs i installed with it. im thinking about switching these pilot navigator lights out and put some catz msp in. nice build, would like to take ur headlights apart and do a retro.

Yesterday I replaced my front LCA bushings (talk about a PITA....) but it seems to have fixed the steering wobble that I was attributing to the brake rotors.

I also raised the Radflos up ~1/2" to get ~1" more lift in the front so it would sit level. The front has sagged a bit since I initially readjusted it for the 265s.

Today I sold my Defiant light bar & PIAAs to Jaybird93000, he came down and we put the stuff on his truck. We did most of the wiring but his switches aren't here so we couldn't get shots of them turned on.

I think it looks great on his truck, but it does remind me a lot of Darkie3495 before he got the SW.

Sorry for the iPhone pics.

I'm installing an LED light bar. I planned to put it right there, but now I'm thinking about putting it behind the grille or on the roof too, but we'll see...

No plans for a bumper for a little while. I'd like to get one eventually but it's a while off.... Like an "after these tires wear out and I switch to 285s" while...

hehehe...looks like it lost its nose....lol...Looks good on jaybirds...gotta get him on some LEDs Matt.
Jaybird-BHLM for you man....
