Gear Oil Question

It’s about that time to do some drain and fills on the diffs. Have an 07 sport 4x4. Buddy gave me 8 quarts of redline 75w90ns. Is there any real difference between that and non ns(no slip). Don’t want to put the wrong oil in and potentially mess something up. Thanks in advance guys!.

Are you referring to the ones that have the limited slip additive / friction modifier?

From what I understand, if you have an LSD, you need it, and if you don't, it doesn't matter one way or another.

My friend who is a tech basically said to add he adds it no matter what, but I opted to leave it out because I don't have an LSD.

RedLine makes terrific gear lube, and as was posted the NS additive is of no value or risk in your case.

Shake the bottles well before pumping it into your truck to ensure it's mixed, things tend to settle when they sit.
