Glove Box Light Not Working

The title says it all. I went to change the burnt out bulb to an LED and discovered maybe it wasn't the bulb after all. Is there a specific fuse for the glove box? Everything else works perfectly. Or does the glove box sensor not know the box is down? If so, where is the sensor.

P.S. It's not a bad LED either, I tried two.

Thanks

Edit: the title shouldn't have the word "map" in it

Don't know if you know this, but the glove box lamp only comes on when the headlights are on. There is no sensor or anything else. Did you check the polarity of the LED?

Wow, ya that worked! Bad design though.

I agree. I wish Toyota would have spent the extra $1 or 2 to use a switch. Open the glove box, the light comes on. Close the glove box and the light goes off. And it should be independent and not have to have the headlights on too. Of course, then you have the Lexus, right?
