I went to Trail Duty the night of March 4th to place my order and typed in the Promo Code based off the instructions I got off this group buy.....my receipt and confirmation came via email early morning of March 5th.

And yes, I had to go to my Spam Folder (within GMail) to find the initial TrailDuty messages and added them to my Trusted Senders list.

Well [MENTION=6047]Range[/MENTION] was #10 to do so and I'm #13 .. so hopefully I'll be able to say the same here shortly too.

Fortunately, I'll be traveling for work up to NYC all next week to keep my mind off of this.

That's excellent news to hear. I also ordered on 3/2 and am listed #9 in the thread. [MENTION=119516]jicko[/MENTION] where the heck is my shipping info huh??? lol jk. As long as it's within the 4-6 weeks all be good. Now this will push me to get my garage remodeling finished so I have a place to work and install the rack once it gets in.

To be honest guys, I really wouldn't get your hopes up. Companies will register a shipping confirmation to each customers order with the actual product not even being in stock, built etc..... When I spoke to Gobi, their sales person said they were finishing up a very large back log of orders before they wanted to take on a group buy. The estimated time was 4-6 weeks for our orders but I'm betting it'll be 6-8. That's just the reality of it. Hopefully I'm wrong but I've pretty much set my sights on 2 months.

I believed there are 4 default mounting points for the 4 lights configuration.

If you plan on using the 4000 lights, you may as well order the "ranger" version of the rack (this rig has the range rack and the 4000 lights):

Will this work on a 3rd gen?

How does the ladder mount to the gate? Are holes drilled in?

Do I have to drill holes into my 4Runner roof to mount the Gobi? If so, any issues with rust or ideas on protection? (photo attached for reference)

Gobi 3rd gen rack:
Gobi Racks - Hummer, Jeep, Toyota Racks

I believed, just like other generations, no drilling is needed. The pictures you posted is gen 5(?), those are factory roof rail mounting holes that the rack is mounting to. Here is a pic for 3rd gen, it mount to the existing roof track.

Again, I believed, just like other generations, no drilling is needed.

Gobi's quality is second to none.

Can you confirm this front mount requires no drilling? Does the entire front end of the rack (forward of the roof rack mount), just rest on pads or something?

That's how all the other ones are constructed (actually multiple manufacturers is doing this similar design construction).

Don't seems to have any issues since the frame of the rack seems to be ultra strong, so it distribute the weight down the anchored points pretty well.

You can STILL get into this. I am likely to be able to clear the wait list. But you have less than 24hours. So, follow the instruction from the 1st post and let me know what you need. I will try everything I can.
