No joking, had to help the delivery guy offload it from his truck and carry it into the garage. Hopefully I can pursuade the GF to help me get it installed this evening.

Correction: Bribe a few TALL bros for the 'walk-the-rack-onto-the-truck-from-rear' step if you're lifted. Im 5'6" and thank god for my tall neighbor and Yeti Tundra 65 'stepstool'. The rack isnt heavy by any means, just awkward and you need some height / strong shoulders to avoid beating the hell out of your roof paint.

By the way for those wondering, I paid 3/4, received my 1 'order-shipped' email from Gobi last Monday, and it showed up on my doorstep today without any further coordination phone call or anything. So like they say, just sit back and let it be a surprise.

Haha, yeah I was just messing with him. GF and I managed to get it on just fine. Does help that I'm 5'11" and she's 5'9". Was a bit of a challenge but managed without a single scratch. Ran out of daylight for the ladder and wind deflector though.

Heck I have to go back and look at my receipt to remember what I ordered. Very glad to see these start rolling in. I'm only right at 6 weeks so figure I got some time yet before I can rightfully get impatient I would like to hear feedback on build quality etc. And more install pics!

I was concerned as well. I checked other threads and measured before hand and was pretty sure it would fit. I was a little nervous when I first got it all done and started to drive in. I've got about an inch or two to spare. I live in an old 1970s house with smaller size garage for reference.


Oh and please ignore the terrible garage walls. It's a slow work in progress. Covering up old 70's faux wood paneling :barf:

So I just thought about this. The one thing not mentioned in the instructions is the wiring built into the rack. Is is simply just 2 wires run front to back on each side? I'm assuming for the use of the rear light brackets? Or is their wiring for all 4 corners and I haven't found where it comes out all together?

From what I could tell, I believe it is just wiring front to back on each side.....such that simple connections on each end could be made and you wouldnt have to worry about routing all the way down the side.

Finally got mine today, ordered 3/2. I got removable cross bars. Guess it took so long because I'm so far east? Who knows..

I just want to see the variants for the light mounting solutions.

Also installed a strip of XPEL clear paint film for the wind fairing to rest on.

And lastly, the cargo tie-down system. Also includes clamps to hold jerry cans. Will probably not leave these on all the time to keep ratchets out of the elements and only use them when needed.
