Trail Duty is slow. It took them a week to process my order for awning mounts [emoji23]. It'll happen it just takes them some time.

If it helps you guys to know there was a Group Buy on the 2nd Gen Xterra forum with GOBI the same time period as this one. It wasn't as large but I have a feeling between the two GOBI is pretty busy.

I'm waiting on a full rack, been a little over 10 weeks since I ordered it.

Are you getting it installed? Mine was ready at around 10 weeks with Thanksgiving in the middle, but I wasn't part of any group order. If you're getting it installed you should get it a bit earlier since they don't have to deal with packing and shipping.

For those who are NOT within this groupbuy, and are waiting for their racks; I was notified by Gobi that due to severe weather, there will be a slight delay in your production/delivery. :-(

Curious, what is done when you 3m a roof? Is this something in prep for the rack? Thanks.

[MENTION=147623]funshot[/MENTION] the rack is low profile. once installed it will be hard to wash/wax the roof. 3M will keep it protected better from all the debri and junk. i already have the full front wrapped and its done wonders.

Thanks for the reply. So you are using 3m vinyl wrap? Sorry, I am not clear on which 3m product you are using.

its the 3M clear vinyl wrap, I will be using a local shop to do it. There are some ripples in the roof that I don't want to deal with myself. They wrapped the whole front end already and it turned out good, guessing it will be in the $300-400 range

I got the confirmation from Trail Duty today, and a separate reply to my email that said they were inundated by all the orders, and took time to get things caught up.

I received a shipping notice yesterday, and according to FedEx, it will be here January 24th.

I've got the little rubber grometts but no wires sticking out.
