Hope this helps explain the no rise. Essentially, there is no rise at the front of the rack. Just uniform height all around.

Ok got it. So it's only if you have a spoiler. I don't have one so it doesn't apply to me correct?

The no rise option has nothing to do with the spoiler, the no rise is just a way to reduce height of the rack by 1.5", if you have a lift and a rack and need to get in 7' garages etc it may be worth the money to drop the rack a bit....

that's not how its presented on the receipt or when I called to place order:

I wasn't offered the no rise 'shorter' rack option.

That's what I originally thought but got confused when the pic was posted about the spoiler. I also did not see anything about the no rise option on the Gobi website. It only asks if you have a spoiler with a rise or no rise. So I guess you have to call in order to make the no rise request?

It refers to the "surprised eyebrow" bar to make room for lights.

Just to be clear for everyone reading this going forward:
No rise on the ladder is different than a stealth rack with the no rise option.

now i am all sorts of confused. seems like there are 3 options for rise/no rise.
ladder rise/no rise
height rise/no rise
surprised eye brow rise/no rise
im going to have to call back and discuss to make sure mine is correct.

by default the stealth rack will look like the first pic in [MENTION=138432]Liquidmantis[/MENTION] posts. it WILL have the riser or 'surprised eyebrow' look. if you do not want this option and you want it the same height/flat all around its $150 extra and considered custom
also, the rise/no rise option refers to the type of spoiler you have. spoilers with the hump will need the riser. if you do not have a hump, get no riser.

Good question. I plan on putting a light bar on the front of the Gobi Rack but in that link, another member was able to mount a light bar on a no rise Gobi Rack. There were complaints on wind noise and drag with a light bar mounted on a standard Gobi stealth rack but the higher mount would offer better visibility and less glare off the hood when mounted lower.
