GOBI Roof Rack *Group Buy* Winter 2016

So I ordered directly from Gobi as well, and received their invoice within a couple of days (no charge to credit card).

Per my discussion with a Gobi employee yesterday, out cards will be charged when the racks actually ship.

Finally, she said the first batch (which I am supposed to be in [#7]) was supposed to ship yesterday. I think they'll probably ship by Friday. If not, I will be calling them again for more info.

I called again to get a better time frame and schedule local install, I received 3different answers in the same call of when it will be ready. everything from this week until April. I have no idea when to expect it now

I have to say, Gobi has some of the most horrendously uncoordinated customer service that I have ever seen. It's like their shop and customer service team are two different companies.

I ordered my Gobis Direct in Nov and received my gobis beginning of january about 8 weeks.

Ordered the Gobi directly through the manufacturer on December 5th. I was number 57. The 12 week mark was this past Sunday. I sent an email today and this evening I received an email saying that my rack will be shipped March 22nd! I should then receive it about 1 week later.

Everyone should post as shipments are going out and then update the first page list so we know what the status is for everyone's order.

Placed my order December 2nd and got my confirmation payment that day. Emailed Gobi January 29th and got a response on 2/1 that "my order would be shipped so,etime toward the end of February "

I'm sure it will be here sometime soon.

he wasn't part of the group buy, that's why he got it quicker. the non group buy orders get priority.

More delays from Gobi. First it was shipping end of February. Then it was 3/6. Then 3/10. Now shipping 3/22 supposedly. Unless they are planning to ship all the racks in rapid succession, you guys at the end of the list are going to be waiting awhile.

They told me 3/6 also when I called them. Guess I have to call them again. I'm #17 on the list so I expected to be in the first batch.

I wasn't part of the group buy, but ordered through Trail Duty back in late November. I have been playing the same game and getting the same tune as the majority of you all. So far I have been told that it would ship on Feb. 8th (obviously come and gone), then I got simultaneous emails from Gobi and Trail Duty stating that it was shipped and that I should expect it delivered by "Friday, or Monday at the latest," which was now over a week ago. Got on the phone with Gobi yesterday and now they're saying next Thursday or Friday. Agreed with previous comments on the uncoordinated customer service. I get it that they are busy...I get it that they've had some "bad weather"...But, at least give me a straight answer. I would respect that more than the run-around.

I'm in the same boat, after 3 delays. Which is about a month,I finally got my rack yesterday. You will get a phone call from gobi then the shipping company. Btw I ordered in mid November so you will get your rack anytime soon.

Curious, what generation 4runner do you have? I ask because are you not number 34 on the list? If so, I am trying to figure out if there is a pattern to how these are going out, or is it just random. Either way, enjoy your rack!

Gen 4th and I called gobi almost every week. On the 2nd got a call from gobi saying my rack is on the way, she also said the first batch will go out on Monday the 6th. Get another call from the shipping company on the 9th to schedule the delivery. I know the frustration and how you feel, after 3 delays I started to feel like whatever then.......voila:jaw:
