Gobi is the worst.

Gobi is the worst. I don't mind waiting 20 plus weeks if i was told that up front.
I was told max is 16 weeks. I said OK. This is not the part that bugs me the most. I have an email saying my rack was shipped 4/14 and 10 days max for shipping(not including weekends) it is now day 14 so i thought why not call and bug them. It turns out my rack is not even shipped yet but "should be here next week" they told me today. Just be honest is all I ask. And don't get mad when we call you out on it.

Attempted to install the Gobi rack today. I had the 4 "GOBI" logo-ed brackets pretty snug when we lifted the rack and mocked it up against these brackets.

When I attempted to install the driver and passenger side front legs, the middle "GOBI" bracket on the driver side did not touch the rack. The majority of the weight I can feel is on the front driver side leg.

On the passenger side, the rack seems to be touching both middle and rear "GOBI" logo-ed brackets and the front leg evenly. The weight of the rack on the passenger side also seems to be evenly distributed but on the driver side, it feels like the weight is mainly on the front leg. It seems like if the adjustments on the driver side front leg would allow the rack to sit down further, it would then rest on the middle "GOBI" logo-ed bracket and sit correctly.

Did anyone else run into this issue? I'm afraid if I tighten the bolts on the driver side middle "GOBI" logo-ed bracket to the rack, it would pull the bolts holding bracket into the roof, out of the roof.

Trail Duty has informed me that mine will be shipping this week.

I really hope that is true because I "need" it for a planned excursion.

I am 148 on the list.

Will follow up to let folks know if it actually ships.

I spoke with Gobi today and they said my rack/light bar will ship next week. Based on what other members have said, I'm guessing it will be closer to the end of the month before it actually ships.

After I saw your post I decided to call them on my way home and basically got the run around.
Now I just hope mine is in the same shipment to north Texas...

I was number 32 on the list. Had basically given up until my card was charged last month and now tomorrow it will finally arrive. Almost 5 months after I placed the order. This rack better be the best damn thing since sliced bread. Not sure how you could run a business like that? That being said I'm excited to get it my runner.

Got mine installed at Gobi today. Took them 55 minutes and seems like they did a good job. Was done 3 weeks ago but they couldn't get me in until today. This is SaxainPDX btw, starting a new username since I'm not in PDX anymore.

I was #39, Got mine in Tuesday, Finally buttoned up the install today. Finally got my awning out of the spare bedroom and onto the runner.

you got the toolbox too and i see they put it in the worst spot possible like they did with mine. it was the biggest PITA to remove, i dont think ill be putting it back on.
