There is a promocode I think its gobi100 I took it one step further and asked for discounted no-rise option, then used gobi100 that plus free wind fairing, struts, and ladder made for a hot sweet deal, But all that was balanced out by the sales tax i pay in texas so meh. However I bought without the groupbuy and i am on week 10 no eta yet

Use the promocode they have advertised on their home page: 'JULY4' for a 10% discount. 'gobi100' only takes off $100.

The free tailgate struts will show up when you select Toyota and then the rack itself. However don't add as an option in the drop down, instead write the free stuff in the comments section just before order confirmation.

Nice job on asking for a discount on the no-rise. I wish I had thought to do that. I just ordered 2 days ago and paid the $150 - 10% discount.

Question about LED mounting and wiring

Sorry, I did do a search and read a lot of threads, but maybe my search kungfu is not strong and I missed the answer...

Can someone reply and tell me if the Gobi racks are prewired for front and rear LED or do they only provide metal mount points?

Also, for the 42" LED light bar on the front, is the mounting just two "L" brackets that I see in some pictures? If I am ordering a light bar (single row since I am getting the no-rise), do I just ask for side mount so it fits on the Gobi mounts or do I need bottom mount or something else all together?

I reached out to Gobi a while back and confirmed the racks are no longer pre-wired.

nope. and it looks like a huge PITA to fish wire through the rack so I've opted to not even bother adding lights. they leave a couple of holes with grommets for wires but they are in horrible locations and looks like will only accept a single 16-18awg at best.

I would wait until you get the rack before ordering any lights/wires/brackets

Got my rack after waiting 27 weeks.Had to pick it up across from the border since i'm in Canada. Build quality is as should be. Install is again as it should be,no surprise.Overall worth the wait.I could have bought the Baja Rack back in December for the same prize for rack and ladder only. I didn't really like the look of the Baja and found the group with all the extras for the same cost.

Received my Gobi Stealth late June and installed a few days before the 4th of July. Extremely happy, took me awhile tho with a friend since we added lights. It was worth the wait and has since did one road trip to vegas now, headed to southern and northern Cali in the coming week.

how did you do your lights, meaning how did you run your wires? do you have close up shots of the wiring? the grommet holes that are pre-drilled seem too small and are in horrible locations so im curious how others are doing theirs

I haven't gotten mine either. I think I'm going to be the last one to get it from the group buy because I was really late in ordering it.

A few weeks ago, they told me they were going to try and ship out end of June but latest would be early July... That's well long gone. I sent a follow-up email and never heard back.

Not sure which package you decided to go with but my calculations put this group buy ahead of the 10% off Trail Duty is offering if you went with package #1 (not including the free accessory), when you factor in the free accessory which was offered, the group buy steps further ahead of the 10% discount. Thanks again for organizing this jicko! Also, they were saying GOBI was going to raise prices back in January and the Stealth 5th Gen rack has stayed the same price (not sure if that means anything).

That said, 10% off is pretty good if you don't want to wait for another group buy.

Thanks for the update. I've pretty much given up expecting anything from Gobi. I'm sure it will get here eventually, but until it's here, there seems to be no point expecting anything from them.

I don't know what the group buy price was, but with the info on this page you can get a Gobi rack with accessories for a really good price.
