Anyone see the latest post from Gobi's Facebook?
If you have an order from Trailduty pending, make sure to give Gobi an email.
My order (stealth rack and ladder) was literally ready to be shipped today BUT I got a call from an Alex. She told me that something happened to a someone at Trail Duty (TD) and Gobi would need to collect payment from me (eventhough Trail Duty already collected from me). Gobi only collects payment when the rack is ready to be shipped, fine. Since that something happened to that someone at TD, they cant collect payment shifting the payment responsibility to me, ehhh whatever. They want me to call my CC and file a claim which is going to take another couple of weeks to resolve. Are they really going to hold onto my rack for that long? At this point, I really dont know what to think. I feel bad for what happened at TD, but cant imagine he/she is the only person that handles the day-to-day. That money had to go somewhere? I am a little frustrated with Gobi because they asked me to do all the leg work when the issue is clearly with Trail Duty and them.
I am not about to fork over another $1,500 plus and HOPE my claim goes through. Right now, I am just waiting to see what my CC says, before I fork over money. Hopefully Gobi holds onto my rack.

That’s super vague....shouldn’t the onus be on Gobi to settle with TD later?
Gobi is pretty ballsy to ask for another payment and then have the customer deal with their credit card. That’s just poor customer service.
Isn't that what GOBI is known for?
Hence why I bought a Baja rack..
I'm going with Rhino.
