Good Day From The Bering Sea

Hello All. First of all I'd like to say thank you all. I've never owned a Toyota before, but have always liked them. I did a lot of research on this forum about the 5th gen T4R's that led me to buy a Certified Used 2010 Limited in Blizzard Pearl. It's going to stay stock for a bit. But I'm sure eventually I won't be able to keep away from blacking some stuff out, lifting it a bit, and dropping down to 17"s with some Duratrac's or something. I've made the move from a 2001 Discovery II lifted on duratracs, and I have to say I love my new purchase. I'm itching to get back in it though. I had if for 3 days before heading up to AK for a couple weeks. My dad has been enjoying it in my absence, and I've been forced to browse the forums to get my fill vicariously through you all. Due back home this weekend... can't wait. Looking forward to many years of info, picture, and idea sharing, as well as hopefully some trail running and beer drinking with fellow T4R owners.

You are going to need to mine some of that Bering Sea Gold to keep up with the mods. I took a cruise to Alaska and although we were not in the Bering Sea it sure felt like it. The captain said it ranked in the top 5 roughest seas he had ever sailed. I don't want any part of that again. Although it works great if you need to drop a few pounds quickly uke:

Bering Sea, that brings back scary memories. I was there on a Polar class CG icebreaker years ago.

Yeah, I know. I don't think I'll just do a spacer type lift and level so that should save some money. However, lifting my Disco wasn't real cheap. There's only a select number of outfits that have Disco stuff. I don't come out here regularly, which is good, cause I spend the 1st 2 days or so horribly seasick. Very efficient weight loss program. I have a few boats that I handle the repairs and maintenance on. So I primarily work out of Seattle.
