i just had to say this but i have had some good luck lately with the 4runner.here are the good stuff:
1 - i complained about exhaust noise from the manifolds(V8) and i feel they were cracked. my local dealer replaced both of them under warranty, no problems with the dealer.
2- i complained about the sulfur smell, my local dealer replaced the exhaust up to the muffler, no problems with the dealer
3- wanted an alignment and wheel balance, perfect alignment and a dead smooth wheel balance.
4 - complained to Toyota about the driveshaft "thud" and they stated if my dealer states it is no good they will honor the Lexus TSB (even though they are not supposed to) and i will get it fixed. so i have an appt this week for it to be seen. i can't believe i got that far and with that much cooperation.
ahhh what a good week. i realize the exhaust stuff is under warranty(i have a certified vehicle) but you know how some dealers are. i did not have one fight or bad word to say about them.
