Good Morning from Beautiful Alberta

Greeted with this lovely sight when I got out to my 4Runner this morning. Technically it is still summer for another 11 days, but that ship has definitely sailed.

As a side note, the later pictures you can see how much damage it is actually doing. Because it's so early in the fall (*cough* summer), all the trees still have their leaves, and the weight of the snow is bringing down lots of branches. Lots of power outages and road obstacles.

god bless ya. This is why I hate winter.

*Slippery roads
*snow you have to shovel
*salt on the roads (slowing rusting our cars)
*cold air that doesn't allow you to any work done on your rig.
*dark days (general puts you in a "blah" mood)

Crazy weather up there, wow. Our summer (near Philly) has been very tame this year. Last 2 years we saw 105+ (hot, humid, hazy). It was bad.

I'm half excited for winter, but don't envy you guys over the mountain. Still hitting over 20 degrees in the Okanagan. No plans to throw the winters on for a while.

I can't believe this! Thank god I threw on the blizzaks on Sunday night. My wife thought I was crazy...who is crazy now?!??! A lot of tree damage though, what a wreck.
