Finally, somebody put some smack down on these morons. Now, if they can just get some real competition and make a more fair pricing model across the board I might consider this, or a similar technology, in the future.

They had competition . . . neither made money and they merged. Now they've added commercials and started slowly growing the company. With Google, Apple, Pandora, Spotify and free radio it limits the share of the 300+ mil population willing to pay for a service that only provides audio content. Don't see too many people wanting to jump on that bandwagon.

Those idiots still call me like once a month. Each call I interrupt them and say..."why are you calling me? I cancelled a year ago and yet monthly I have to tell you that I'll never be interested in your service and to quit calling me. Take me out of your system" CLICK!

Yet, a month or so later some jack@ss calls with his canned introduction and responses trying to offer me some "limited time only" pricing.

Get a life Sirius.

This actually happened to me about 5 months ago.

I knew the rate would go up and even that they would auto-renew it, that isn't too crazy BUT what they did was raise the rate from $7 a month to like $18 then prebill me for an entire 6 months.

I called them and was like WTF. Give me a refund now. They refunded me and offered the promotional rate of $8/month ago , this time billed monthly.

You can ask them to never call you again, ever. Really. They have a do not call for promotions list if you ask to be put on it. I told them I'm happy to receive promotions but not on the phone, ever. If you want to contact me mail a letter.
