Good set of floor mats for a 3rd Gen?

First of all, I tried searching this sub forum for "floor mats" and the search engine this website uses is basically worthless!

We gave our son our 3rd Gen SR5 and seriously needs new floor mats. I was going to tell him to get Huskys, but they don't seem to have the newer style exact fit ones for the older 4Runners, but have others that will supposedly fit. He lives in Boulder so will get some snow on them and the "Heavy Duty" model looks like a good choice, but they don't show the hole for the floor anchor on the Driver's side mat. Has anyone tried these? Is there a better choice for a 3rd Gen in areas with snow?

I have weathertechs and they work great at trapping mud/snow/dirt/etc.

^ Agreed, I've had both and I prefer the weathertechs. The huskys are unnecessarily bulky and the sides always end up curling up. The weathertechs have stayed in their original form and do a great job of catching water and snow.

I'm happy with the durability of the Weathertechs a couple of years in, but I see more sand and mud than snow.

agree on weathertecs. Good at trapping all kinds of stuff..snow for me. this set has been passed down from my first 3rd gen to my current and still doing fine.

While I don't have personal experience with Husky mats, the WTs I recently
installed have been great in that respect. I too was worried they'd squeak and slip around on snow/mud/etc., but so far they have gone unnoticed in the sound dept.

+123456 on the WeatherTechs. I’ve had mine since December 2017 and they have been phenomenal. I can’t imagine what my carpet would look like if I didn’t have them in. Husky, WeatherTech, etc, any of your laser fitted floor liners should be adequate to get them job done. I just prefer WeatherTech

Another vote for the WeatherTechs, I went with them because Husky's website didn't make it clear if their floor mats went all the way up the sides like the WT.

The WeatherTechs are plasticky feeling, but they're durable and work. My heels tend to get a little sore after a long time of driving (like 3 or 4 hours). Good coverage. I've had mine for 3 years, and they look good.

The only problem I've had was that my clutch pedal would catch on the edge of the floor mat when it was fully depressed. Didn't have to cut away too much to solve the problem. In fairness to WT, fitting sound proofing under the carpet didn't help. The important pedals (gas and brake) never had this problem.

Also I have a grey interior, and WT offers a grey color. It looks good.
