Was at Overland expo last weekend I met the guys from Factor 55 and got a great deal on a closed system hook and aluminum fairlead.
Wasn't really intentional in terms of weight savings, but came in at about 40% less weight than the Warn parts, and more importantly a much nicer/safer system. The warn fairlead is actually iron, textured, and surprisingly "unsmooth", so can't be good on a synthetic line as it heats up from friction.
Here are some pics -can't say enough about the fabrication work and finish of the Factor stuff. :beer:
