Governor of New Jersey Resigns

I am not sure if you all have heard yet, but the governor of New Jersey resigned because he had a relationship with another male. In his resignation speech, he also admitted that he is in fact "a gay American." He is currently married for the second time and he has kids. I am very surprised as a New Jersey resident. I'm watching the story now. Interesting how he put his resignation until 11/15. Why even marry twice if you are gay, stop at the first one.

Dan sounds like this guy is more of a Bi-sexual. I've also heard of some people that were Buy-sexual but that did not have anything to do with preference

I respect that he took responsability for his actions and did not try to squirm out of it like some other politician that we all know.

I'm neither pro-gay, nor anti-gay, but I like the way this guy handled it—resigning, not because he's gay, but because he had an extra-marital affair. Sounds like he's a honorable kind of guy (all things considered).

He resigned because his "Lover" filed a sexual harassment case agains't him and he had to get out ahead of the story and try to put as pretty of a face on it as he could. The guy is a slim ball that is under investigation for other problems, one being appointing his lover to the job of home land security chief for the state of New Jersey, even though he was not qualified, had no law enforcement background and did not past an FBI security clearance. Just thought you guys might want to know some of the rest of the story.

BTW: no need to start a riot, I was kidding about the navy, its just a stupid stereotype. Might be true might not. I am serious about the jail part though. I had a friend who told me what went on when he was in for a year. "They're not gay. For that they'd have to be human first." -SR

I in no way admire or approve of what he did. I admire that he announced that he was gay to the public. I am sure that is not an easy thing to do because it will be on every show and every newspaper headline. For example, there was a lot of evidence that proved that Clinton had sex with Monica, but he always denied that he had sexual relations with her.

I hear he did this to preserve the office for a Democrat. From what I hear, if he resigned before 11/15, there would be a special election to elect a new governor. I think this way, the Lt. Governor takes over. I'm not positive of this. Anyone have more definitive information?

I heard that NJ has no Lt. Gov. They are going to put another Democrat in to take his place.

I find it strange that this topic gets a lot of posts. Being closer to the Election we have had no policital posts, which I guess is a good thing. I guess this is a "gay" policitical thing. :gay:
