Grease Leaking into U-joint when filling Slip Yoke

I went to do the periodic lubrication of the rear driveshaft slip yoke but when I tried greasing the slip yoke the grease started pushing out the rear of the driveshaft into the u-joint. How do I stop the grease from leaking? Here is a markup of a picture I found on google so you know what I mean.

Mine does the same thing. There's like a "plug" back there and you can see where mine isn't seated just right and the grease oozes out of there. Not sure what to do about it or if it really causes any issues.

Probably the slip yoke is full with grease. Too much grease and going over bumps can damage/crack the transfer case due to pressure. Best is to mark the slip yoke and drive shaft, then pull the yoke out. Clean/remove excess grease and apply a thin film of grease to the yoke, match the marks and slide it in.

It's not going "into" the ujoint.

If the slip shaft is full it will come out of that hole. Stop pumping grease at that point.
