grill guard shake at high speeds

Hello, I recently installed a grill guard on my car and mounted some hellas on them. The bar seems to shake alot when I'm driving. When I turn on the hellas, it's even more noticeable when the beam looks like theyre flickering.

Any suggestions on how to prevent the grill guard from shaking so much?

i have the same problem.... the guard itself is great and made of great metal.... it is the top mounts the skinny little things that go right under the hood! they will start to scar the plastic also because they shake so much :/ i just have learned to live with it! sorry man!

Attach front and side views of the guards and mounting methods/connections. Do you feel it’s not enough torque on the connections or the mounting design is not working? Are they both the same guards?

Mine too. Its just grill guards do this. My previous vehicle a Land Rover never had this issue but it was a big big high end Land Rover brush guard.

and yea the brackets kinda suck ones that hold the top on are very weak but the guard looks so sexy idgaf about the shaking

Yes the top brackets really suck and are very poor for holding or giving support. Almost pointless. They pretty much help hold the grille guard up or the little they do hold. lol

Sorry to resurrect an old thread. But I just got a used brush guard for $100 and I love the look but I have the shaking as well. I am going to make some brackets myself that will attach to the upper bracket just behind the grill so they are not seen and then attach those into the center of the cross member. This should add to triangulate the upper brackets and at least reduce the shaking some. I hope... I will post pics and results later.

Here's the problem...

You're trying to attach the frame to the body without any cushioning.

Most of those brush guards mount on the bottom end to the frame, then the top brackets mount to some flimsy part of the body. Even my Shrokworks bumper "shakes" when I drive over rough pavement because the body and frame move independently.
