Grinding noise while idling 99 4runner

Hi,

Recently my 4runner has developed a grinding noise when I am stopped and idling in drive. If I put the car in neutral or park it instantly goes away. The noise also goes away once I start accelerating.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and/or has some insight as to what the problem might be.

FYI: I have a 1999 4runner SR5 w/ 3.4L V6 140,000 miles

Before I take it to the shop, does anyone have any ideas on what I could look for as the culprit? Thanks again..

Have someone press the brake while you look where the noise is coming from, take some pics or a video, it could be anything
