**Group Buy - ARB Drawers**

The vendor has reported to me that ARB sent him TWO pallets with GB items.

He has one pallet at his shop and is expecting to get the second pallet on Monday.

He will break down the pallets and start shipping out Mon - Wed.

These are heavy, bulky items, so breaking everything down will take some time.

**UPDATE**




So it's Wednesday and you're like, where is my tracking information?




The last pallet arrived this morning - (versus the estimated arrival of last MONDAY). A total of four pallets worth of Fridges, Drawers, and Fridge accessories showed up at Blueline's shop within four days.




Blueline elected to wait for ALL four pallets to arrive before breaking items up and shipping them to make sure he got all the orders in. Plus, all the orders were mixed within the four pallets. So if you ordered more than one item, it didn't mean all your items were on the same pallet.




That being said - Shipping will start tomorrow and continue thru the weekend.




Today will mostly be checking the pallets, breaking them up. Etc.

Got mine yesterday wont have time to install till this weekend. Any great ideas before i start the install or things i should know that others experienced would be awesome!

I have already installed 1 drawer previously but i'm about to install a 2nd drawer soon (receiving mine today).

Few things...
1. ARB's directions are garbage

2. Either A) drill 4 holes through the cargo floor pan and use the ARB supplied hardware. or B) cut a piece of wood to bolt into the cargo area (approx 38" x 41") and then bolt the ARB drawers to the wood plate using T-nuts. Here is a good thread on this.

3. Drawers dont come with any D-rings, but the drawer tops have 4 Allen bolts on each side that you can remove and bolt D-rings or tie-down track to.

4. 1st you will need to remove the drawer top (or slide open if it's a slider top) in order to access the drawer stops. The drawer stops will need to be removed to pull the drawer out of the cabinet. Next pull the drawer out, bolt your two drawers together (if installing 2), bolt the drawer(s) into place in the cargo area. After this, re-install the drawer stops (make sure they are installed correctly per ARB's directions otherwise you risk snapping the drawer stop), then slide the drawer back into the cabinet. Re-install the tops, and DONE!

Installed a few notes i can make. ARB need to work on their instructions I've had better from IKEA.. joking aside.

The fridge slide you have to re install the stoppers after you have it mounted in the truck which is impossible if it is bolted to the other drawer. SO make sure to note make my mistake and have it all bolted down and try to reinstall the slide stoppers because you will have to un mount it and all and try again.

Other then that little issue it was smooth like drilling into sheet metal.. Love them can't wait to fill them with stuff! Thank you again for setting up this group buy!:kiss:

No my Fridge slide is the only one with a roller top the other is just the larger drawer. Going to use for tow straps and accessories like that.

I want to make sure what I have in mind will fit in there..

Drawer dimensions for my future reference:

They are not very big......the inside dimensions of the tray are

33 1/2" L x 16 3/8" W x 2 5/8" H

But there is a 5/8" lip all the way around for strength, effectively reducing the size of any object that you might want to just drop in by 1 1/4". It's great for small stuff (tools) you can tuck in underneath the lip. There is also about 1/8"- 1/4" room above the top lip that allows something just a little bit taller to still slide under.

So if you pull out the fridge slide and put something taller in the open space you won't be able to close the slide. which in
My case means I can't close my trunk, but yes if you're at the campsite or whatever you can throw something larger in the space. I'm using that small drawer for tools so I didn't need it to be super tall.

Got my drawers installed over the weekend. It went way smoother this time around after already installing 1 drawer before and previously installing t-nuts on the other side where the 2nd drawer was going to be installed. All I needed to do this time was bolt the 2nd drawer to the wood plate and bolt both drawers together.

I also had Canvasback make a set of cargo liners specifically for the drawers. Feel free to PM me if you need the dimensions/layout that I drew up for the liners.

Thanks a ton for the GB. I was too lazy to buy and cut a piece of plywood, so I figured I would try another solution. I have had the carpet up enough lately adding dyna-mat and doing electrical. I figured I would turnbuckle the two drawers into the truck, using the existing factory tie down locations. Worst case scenario is that I have to take them out (already somewhat easy to do), and install the plywood. But I think I can still use turnbuckles to hold the plywood and drawers secure, without need for drilling into the truck. Time will tell.

I also did some work on building a fridge slide on top of the ARB slide so I could get some extra length (long story, but I felt I needed to utilize the crazy expensive 500# slides I purchased last year for the project, before the GB became available). I ended up drilling a shit ton of holes into the top of the drawer because I'm what my Mom used to call "special" when I was growing up. Luckily you cannot see them due to the carpet.

I'll add more pics later, but this shows how I mounted lashing points to the front of the drawers, and how I added an eye bolt to the rear to secure.

Great advice above to make sure you add the top of the roller drawer and secure the two sides before you screw the two drawers together! You were probably making the same mistake I was, at the same time.
