Hanging new spare

I have been looking into getting some new wheels for my truck when I get back from my trip. My question is would a Crager soft 8 17x8 with a 265/70 fit under my truck with the stock hanger or should I look into mounting it somewhere else? If nothing else I could toss it up in the basket until I could afford a bumper/tire carrier.

Cool, thanks. I guess I put more thought in the wheel than the tire. but if the wheel is only and inch wider and the cable it 2' then its golden. >.<

Curious, do you know if the 17" Crager will fit over the SE brakes without shaving the calipers down? I'm thinking about getting some steelies for my 2003 SE, but was hesitent because I have heard of problems fitting wheels over the larger SE calipers.

Ive not seen anyone say anything about having a problem with them from what I have read. I think you only run into problems when you try and move down to 16" wheels like the FJ. I think Aha has 16s on his rig tho. I thought I read something about Toyota not going to the bigger break setup til 04.
