To all the Veterans past and present, Thank you for being that 1% who put there A$# on the line for this country so everyone can have the freedoms they have today in this country. Thanks for stepping up and being the one who gives that child a hope for a better life in some far off land that doesn't know what Democracy tastes like. Only you will even know that feeling and that look in there eye when you come and put a large boot in someone's %$^ just so they can go to school and get an education.

I'm not one for Pics and look at me but lets see you in action and the service you gave, rater it be a Ground Ponder,Fly Boys, Mechanic, or the one that makes sure we get a good meal at the end of the day. My self and my Navy Corpsman Wife on my last ball before getting out.

This is one I'm most proud of. It doesn't seem like much but the ripple effect of this photo was HUGE. We were looking for ways to build better relationships with the community that we were working in to get information on Taliban Activity so we could make the community safe and keep them out(and IED's). We put together this program three days a week to teach basic reading to kids(boys and girls) and for the wife's to get medical care for the family. Needless to say the amount of information obtained was a treasure trove. This is the north part of Helmand Province(Past Sangin) Afghanistan in 2008. Enjoy !

Nicely written, and thanks to all that served and is still doing so. I know the time period I have put in is in no means of what the last decade of our service members have contributed to our country. Everyone enjoy your day of contributions. It's been 30 yrs ago for me.

Memorial Day Prayer for Our Military and Military Families

Heavenly Father, Today is yours. We thank you for giving us this beautiful opportunity to honor the men and women who so bravely served this country in the past as well as in the present. Father we ask you to bless and strengthen those brave souls who selflessly give of themselves without asking anything in return. We ask you to heal our wounded warriors who returned home in pain after they gave their all for this great land. Bless them. Restore their souls. Heal their bodies. Bring salvation to the lost.
Father we ask you to bless the families of our military who stay behind while their loved one goes into battle. Keep them safe and provide for their needs according to your abundance. Lord, we pray for a special blessing upon the families whose loved one gave his or her life to this country. Keep them safe and comfort their hearts.
Lord, we ask you to anoint our Chaplains and others who bring the Word to our military. Bless their ministry and bring a great harvest of souls from their efforts.
Father, we ask you to forgive the sins of this nation as well as the sins of the leaders who have forgotten how to pray. Have mercy on all Americans and bring us to a state of repentance in these difficult times. We ask you to forgive our pride as a nation and deliver us from the evil that has come upon us. You alone are righteous and holy. You alone are worthy of praise. We thank you for hearing our prayer! In the name of Jesus Christ.

Amen

Well, it may have been 30 years but you have drank the Kool-Aid that few will know. Thank you!
