Hartford CT Toyota - bad service

Worse service after each visit. Last oil change took 2 full hours.
They consistently mix up my family member accounts though we all have different names and addresses (and each time we tell them to correct it and they say they do but they obviously don't as the receipts and followup phone calls are all messed up).
When received recent phone (IVR) survey, I then had to wait ~10 minutes for a livee CS rep so I hung up.

They have no idea how this is hurting their sales business as well -- there are many other dealers nearby who will now get our business.

Thanks, I'll be sure not to go there. Have you found a place you like in the greater Hartford area?

thanks!

I like Gale Toy in Enfield. A little further but great service.
Never tried Hoffman.

Family in the market for a few more cars.... sorry Hartford Toy.

You could always change your own oil, don't have to worry about nobody messing it up. Where in CT a you guys? Im in Ridgefield...

West Hartford here, but my wife grew up in Ridgefield (and her parents still live there, on the south side of town, almost Wilton).

Yeah, I am investing in heavier duty equipment to do my own work. (I always used to.) Larger floor jack and stands on their way. Shopping for brake pads now.

I'm between Rt 35 and RT 7 pretty close to wilton and Danbury. I take it your on the Nice Part of West Hartford, near the Cheesecake factory? Hit me up if you need help with any of car jobs.

MMmm Cheesecake factory.
I'm only in Torrington. I'm close to you too if you ever need help.
Used to travel 7 and 35 everyday with bro-in-law doing tile work. (Did they ever finish widening route 7) Many a house in Fairfield County and a few in Pound Ridge NY.

I appreciate the offers of help -- thanks! It gives me some confidence to try some more complicated projects. Yeah, I'm close to the Cheesecake factory but I'm able to resist it. It is nice living nearby such places but far nicer to drive past it all and get out into the woods. That is really the attraction of CT to me. I love those windy narrow roads in Ridgefield/Wilton.

Thanks again! If I can ever help, let me know.

They are suppose to finish it this summer (the danbury part, which is going pretty quick for going over a swamp, wilton part is done, but took forever). And there is a cheesecake factory opening up in the danbury mall pretty soon too!

Yeah, I love the roads, the 4runner is good fun on them, i drive them all the time, the tight "scenic" roads are cool they are even more narrow (about 1 car at a time width), yeah i live in the middle of the woods it pretty cool, but me and my dad are clearing the backyard out (3 Husqvarna's).

Im just over the line in MA, but Gale Toyota has quoted me the lowest price on any service. Called to price out the 90k service on our 03 T4R and they were by far the best.

I am going in tomorrow to pick up my 4runner trail edition from Hartford and I have to say, my experience has been completely different. Not only did they make the 4R down almost 1K from Lynch, they also gave me 3K more for my Tahoe, they also gave me 2K for my 1997 Mark VIII. Moreover, they are coming to my house in South Windsor to tow it away (My father-in-law left it for me).

Originally, they said it may take a few weeks (up to six) to get the trail edition I wanted, and it ended up taking almost two week. As for service, I can't really comment on that. However, I do plan on having it serviced there. I might also use Lynch, in part because they are only 5 minutes from my house.

Since your original issues with Hartford, have they corrected the problems you were having?

Jay
