Has anybody used Cerakote on trim?

So I've always neglected the paint on my 4Runner and never been worried about pinstripes. She is starting to show some age partly from living outdoors in AZ and I have started to do some detail work. Some of the trim is looking faded or has water spots that I can't clean off.

Has anyone tried the cerakote wipes? I've seen mixed reviews but it seems like this works really well when it works, but it may take some expertise to apply correctly. The plastic on the door that cover the mirror attachment looks pretty bad, mostly horizontal surfaces.

I would wet sand, a coat of plastics primer promoter, then paint multiple coats with "SEM 39143 Trim Black Aerosol". If you don't do it right, you'll be doing it again and often.

Sounds like a more permanent solution, but I know me, I am bound to screw that up some where.
