Has anyone figured out how the rear wiper “cradle” comes off?

If this info is on the forum, I missed it and can’t even find it in the FSM (I found something that could be this thing but the removal process didn’t work).

Toyota calls this a “step” or “stopper” depending on where you look.

I would guess it's just taped on [emoji2373] take some fishing line and see if you can get it under it and cut the tape

Looks like the part number for my 2003 is: 8529335020

Google will find you pictures of it like these. From what I can see, it looks like it's just a snap-in friction fit with no mechanical fasteners. It's possible their could be some tape involved as well, but chances are it just has a gasket that "bonds" to the metal over time that might make it feel like it's glued/taped to the body.

Thank you and shame on me. I should have thought to do exactly what you did before taking anyone's time by posting here. In any case, I really appreciate the link b/c it came right off once I understood how to go about it.

Taped it b/c I planned to paint it on the truck if I couldn't remove it (a potential s***show if there ever was one) but it worked out since the tape protected the paint while I pried it off.

The bottom gasket separates from the hard plastic so I was able to clean and condition the rubber and paint the hard part.

I owe you a brew if you ever get down to Atlanta.
