Having trouble getting strut assembly out

I,ve finally knocked my strut loose, but its still quite stuck in their and i'm not sure how to get it out.

Any suggestions would be great!

Undo the two large bolts just to the right of where your jack is located that hold the a-arm to the hub assembly and then remove your jack. The whole a-arm will drop lower, letting the strut out.

And after doing the above, you might have to put down pressure on the lower bolt in assemble to remove.

CAUTION NOT TO DAMAGE THE LOWER BALL JOINT BOOT IN THIS PROCEDURE.

Read through the first post of this thread, and I would suggest removing the front swaybar as well. Using this method there should be more than enough room to get the assembly out. I've done this numerous times and never needed to touch the eccentric bolts, but that does make it easier (and you need an alignment anyway.

Did you take off the third nut on the top mounts? (Not to be an ass, just making sure)

Take off the sway bar too like ark suggested. It's only 4 bolts and the links.

Don't undo control arm just the tie rod. Should fall right out

Did you take out the center top nut? Your pix shows the nut still there.

That would be a bad idea with the spring not compressed...
It also shouldn't have to come out at all

You are correct. You only need to take the top center nut off if you are changing the spring.
