headers

I just purchased a 92 runner. I want to put some new headers on it and probably an exhaust also. Any suggestions on what sounds good and gives some power?

i like the downey headers, and a borla exhaust. This will make that V6 sound like a V8. Those headers will be your best HP gain for that motor.

I just joined here - but have been on 4x4 wire for a while. And this is WAY late - but maybe it will help....

I will assume you have a 3.0 v6 - or this will really mean nothing.

I have been researching this for a while and Downey seems to be the best bet - and has a better reputation - however - Putting on these headers does require quite a bit of finesse, some cutting, and uh - hammer adjustment.

is a good place to start - - I also believe from what I've seen of one installed - a 1 inch body lift would be a GREAT idea....

You could even try the Downey website, of all places

But beware, Downey has a rep for poor service, and their stuff is overpriced.

Don't know about the V6, but for the 4 banger the Doug Thorley header is the shiat.
