Headlight swap

I have a 04 and bought new black headlights and went to swap them out. There is one bolt that is behind a strip of grill that is attached to the bumper. My question is, how do you remove that lower strip under the grill on top of the bumper? I was told at deal, you have to remove the bumper. Any help is appreciated! I tried to look it up on youtube, but the only video I found the guy got irritated with it and ripped it off. There appear to be tabs that you can get at from the back side.

Looks like this? Just pull up. Or you can squeeze the clip from underneath and then pull up.

Like the post above mine. If I remember you just pull up. It will feel like you are breaking it. GO SLOW with it.

after i got mine off i trimmed my bumper, so it looks like doo-doo with the hood open.

i swapped headlights, i didn't need to remove the bumper, you take a few bolts off the front fender liner, by both wheels, reach up with a 10mm, and unbolt it... i never put that 1 bolt back on it makes it a lot easier to remove headlights in future if need be..

Thanks for the info. I knew it had to come off without pulling the bumper.

I had the same issue with those two blots(one on each side). I got frustrated trying to put it back in. I just left them out and it's fine without.
Which headlights did you install? Pictures?
