Headlight upgrade suggestions?

First off, [MENTION=115975]T-Bruff[/MENTION], welcome to our forum. With that out of the way, we need more information in order to answer your question. Are you stating that you want to replace the entire headlight housing, or just the bulbs? Obviously, there are options for both.

I'd go with 55 watt low beam HID upgrade from The Retrofit Source. Great light output and Quality components. It's plug and play, not cutting of the stock wiring.
Just replacing bulbs is a waste, I've tried...
You have projector lenses from the factory so they will produce a really good pattern.
Obviously you can spend more and replace the OE projectors but I would leave as is unless you're really into your headlights.

Quad LED projectors from a corolla, a LED DRL/Accent light probably from a Tundra housing or something, all baked into a '06+ Headlamp housing? :3

Thanks for the welcome! I was thinking more towards the casing. The factory lights that are on it are foggy from road dust and sun damage ect. I could probably restore them pretty easily but I'd rather use it as an excuse to upgrade!
I've had a really good experience with DDM Tuning 35W and 55W HID Kits
And at $30 plus shipping for a real 35W 4300k HID kit... you can't argue with the price
Also, polishing headlight lenses is dirt easy and took me 10 minutes total to do. They look brand new. Just try it.

I've been reading about head lamps recently because of some condensation in the drivers lamp on my 07. A lot of people have gone aftermarket and regretted it. The UV resistance on the aftermarket housings is nowhere near the quality of OEM. Lenses are thinner.
Basically, its all bad.
100% reccomend you polish your head lights. Its not that hard. Or use deep woods off. Somebody said that works good too.

What grits should be used, and what's IPA? Sorry never restored headlights before but really need to do mine, they're pretty and blacked out but you don't appreciate them much when they're yellow and hazy lol
IPA is Isopropyl Alcohol also known as rubbing alcohol.

At most stores that sell car detailing products, you will find the "3M headlight restoration kit" which is a bunch of sanding and polishing discs and cream polishing compound with a handheld drill attachment for them to stick on to. My headlights came out absolutely immaculate using them. I found my kit at Wal Mart.

Yes. Any of the kits. Then wipe with IPA, then coat with OPT Opti-lens.

Cool, I'll pick up a kit and some OPT, stuffs pricy but if it works as well as you guys say then I don't mind!
Just make sure you prep properly and it will holdup. Just follow the instructions close.
