Ok,
2004 limited v8, 141k miles I'm looking at the boss suspension lift, ultimate 3" lift and 3" lift w/bilstein.....that said in the future I plan a front bumper w/winch, sliders, and rear bumper/tire carrier, running 255/75/17 tires and yes tow a couple of 4wheelers.......I know the weight will settle it and that's fine......running the 255/75/17 stock now with no problem..... any and all suggestions are needed and appreciated, thank you

First, it's good to see another North Alabama guy on here (I'm in Huntsville/Madison). I suggest you check out this thread I just recently started asking a very similar question:

A lot of good info in there. Your best best will be just add air bags to the rear to keep flex and a good ride when you are not loaded, but can air up to reduce squatting when towing. I would also look at the ToyTec 2.5" HD rear springs plus bags or go with OME 896 rear coils plus bags if you're really going to be placing that much weight on the rear end.

I plan to run the following. I am going to be towing up to 5k lbs, but I am not going to be adding a rear tire carrier/bumper and the only thing I'd ever want to add up front is one of the hidden winch mounts and an 8k lb winch:

ToyTec Ultimate 3" w/2" Superflex Rear Coils
ToyTec 1" Body Lift
Total Chaos, Icon or Camburg Uniball UCAs (whichever is cheaper at the time I intend to buy)
Firestone Rear Airbags
Extended Stainless Rear Brake Lines
Urethane Sway Bar Bushings
Front Sway Bar Drop/Relocates
Extended Rear Sway Bar End Links
SpiderTrax 1.25" Hub-Centric Spacers
255/80/R17 or 285/70/R17 on OEM Wheels

Pretty decent description of my 4runner, which is used in the way you describe.

Toytec Ultimate, Camburg UCA's, Demello bumper (no winch yet), etc.

It works well.

Front/Rear bumpers, winch, sliders will add a lot of weight. especially with TC etc. Do some reading and figure out how much weight you'll be adding. higher spring rates, maybe 700# springs up front esp w/ v8 and winch. possibly progressives out back. a more piece meal approach to your suspension maybe be necessary but I think if you go that route you'll end up happier and not having to upgrade later.

with the rear bumper (they're damn heavy) and towing, you'll just need to figure out the rear based on the ride height and how much payload you normally haul. no less than 650# coils in front but again, i'd recommend 700#.

I was thinking adjustable coilovers would be better because as I add weight I could adjust them on the truck.....plan on keeping this 4runner for a good while and giving it to my son when he's 16 (he's 11 now).... moderate towing small boat or 16 foot trailer with quads or utv's.....I have a 3500 gmc for real towing.....all around truck....not to high but rugged and reliable.....any opinions on those lifts?

If you're getting the toytec ultimate, I'd recommend going with the extra $70-ish for the Toytec Boss shocks. I had the ultimate/bilstein and switched to the boss. I like the ride much better, plus stronger shock bodies.

add some airbags in the rear, itll help alot if do tow alot.
