Hella Micro DE Fog kits with brackets - Available!

Okay, many 1999-2002 have the factory fog projectors that have the side mount angle adjustment. These are crazy factory priced and the knock-off replacements have a plastic lens and are leaky water collectors. Great. These brackets are secured in four places with a red pop fastener that goes into the bumper.

While searching I discovered a Hella vertical mount Micro DE with simpler "V" brackets where a back plate mounted screw adjusts the angle. These were dealer installed available in kit form including a relay and a turn stalk lever with the Fog switch added. The kit is great if you don't have factory fogs or if you just need the brackets and lights. The kit ran $250 in the day and are reported no longer available. Wrong!

The linked dealer Rallylights.com is a real bricks and mortar store that bought out all of Hella's 4Runner specific kits and has a few left. I called to see if they may have the bracket measurements and they still stock the kits. Selling at cost for around $175 is a great deal for proper fog lamps and you don't have to fab the brackets.

Seems like a good deal, even though they are $59.99 each.
Amazon has them for around the same price.

Right, Amazon lists the single lights with basic mount brackets.

These 4Runner specific include vertical adjust plates, the drop brackets, turn stalk and relay.

There are also easy to find kits Micro DE universal mount with relay, rocker flush switch for around $130. These are the Amazon mount style. Need Hella brackets to install if you have the factory "Stanley" style.
