Hello 911? Theres blood everywhere!!!

Okay, well maybe not blood.
Hey guys & gals, I'm a long time lurker, first time poster and I need some advice.
Just now this happened. It was the first time this symptom/situation has ever occurred
My 2005 2wd v6 started doing this weird revving like its in neutral while going about 45 then going back to normal. It did this after driving about 10 miles from work this morning. I had about five more miles to go. On the last mile the rpms were about 3k at 48mph. At this point I knew something was seriously wrong.
I went to back into my parking spot and the engine just revved, no movement. I immediately shut it off and attempted to push it but the grade was too much. after about 2 minutes I started it up and quickly was able to back it up and shut it off.
Thats when I saw it!! Blood everywhere! Its some sort of fluid, sprayed all over the battery and under the hood where the battery is. All over the back of the radiator, all under the car on the driver side and all the way back coating the gas tank. lots of fluid
Do these symptoms sound like anything you guys have experienced? in the morning I can try to see where the fluid was coming from but at 4am it's a little tough. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

That's probably ATF, and the "weird RPM thing" was probably your clutch slipping due to lack of ATF in the transmission where it belongs. If it literally went everywhere, I suspect you lost a hose into or out of your ATF cooler in front of the truck, and the engine fan did the rest of the work. You can fix it, but you're going to get nasty cleaning it up, and then you'll need to refill the trans with the appropriate fluid (assuming it's ATF).

As Kevin mentioned there are 2 tranny cooler lines connected to the radiator. These are for the tranny cooler. If one of those lines come loose tranny fluid would spew all over. The lines are on the driverside of the radiator.

Wow, thanks guys! I'm glad to hear that it doesn't sound detrimental! Looking under the hood last night I noticed the battery way shifted (free autozone battery install) the tie down was improperly replaced. I've got the Haynes manual for the truck. Any tips on the trans refill? I'm sure I could just hit search for that. Off to an appointment, thanks to mom I have a loaner for the day

x2 Most likely transmission fluid. Hopefully you didn't cook the tranny or you might be looking at a costly repair. First off get some old clothes you do not care about and get underneath there. Find where the leak is coming from. Get it fixed and re-filled and cross your fingers. Good luck!
