Hi Everyone,

I just recently bought a 2009 SR5 4WD 4Runner and have been visiting this site quite a bit since I bought it, it seems like a great community with some great info.

Originally I was thinking of getting a 5th gen, but decided on the 4th gen. I really enjoy it, and the ride is great. Dunno I just can't get use to the new body style. Anyone else feel the same?

I'm with you there, CM--they really started to lose my interest with the 4th Gen styling, too. I'm a 2nd Gen guy, personally, but the 3rd was a mild redo that I could definitely live with. They're all good trucks, though.

lol. I felt the same way when the 3rd gen was first introduced. 3rd gen is a solid model, but I needed something a little newer for the family, and still have off-road capabilities when I'm feeling a little adventurous.

2nd gen, Nice! This is the model that made me fall in love with 4Runners. Yup can't agree more though, all of them are great. I love them. Even the newer models are starting to grow on me a little. Especially with nice lift and tires that I've seen on this forum. Just wished toyota kept the rounder body style like the earlier models, IMO.
