My name is Chris, you killed my brother, prepare to die!
I kid I kid

I am married, have a 12 month old, and am a full time student at ITT-Tech for Drafting and Design. US Navy veteran, Gunnersmate and Damage Controlman.

I sold my '95 Toyota 4x4 about the time my kid was born and have missed it every day since.
So I am in the process of buying a 4runner now to fill that gap in my heart. Not a mechanical person but I take directions well and look forward to gleaning info from you all.

Thanks! Looking at a '94 tonight. Anything specific I should look for? Here is an excerpt from the ad:

207k miles
$3500 OBO. This is mechanically the best 4Runner for it's age on CL.

Mechanic owned, I've done all maintenance and repairs in the last 3 years that I have owned it:
- Timing belt/water pump/drive belts
- All fluids
- Clutch and master/slave cylinder (2 y/o)
- Valve cover gaskets, ultra-sonic fuel injector cleaning, all coolant hoses replaced.
- Tires still have 40%, BFG All-Terrains, they wear very slowly and 31".
- New front brakes, rotors, calipers, front ball joints and wheel bearings ( ~ 6 months)
- All new steering linkage, tie rod ends and alignment.
- New shocks all around using KYB MonoMax.
- Radiator ~ 2 y/o
- Louder turbo style muffler and rear cargo lift springs (add about 1" of rear lift for nice leveled look, I did at one point put 2000lbs of paver bricks in the back, still handled awesome)
