Welcome, you will definitely find good info here!
Welcome (a lil late):cry2: I retro the e-locker into my 2000 picked up complete rear axle brake drum to brake drum, the brain, and the factory switch .all from different salvage yards $625. I swapped my 4.10's into it till I can re gear both ends with 4.88's It was great on my truck as the dash was pre wired for the e-locker all plug and play except the 6 wire harness from brain to diff. that I soldered up to factory plug connectors. there are some very informative threads out there on the subject.
I just installed 2" body lift last week going up to cleghorn road in the morning 10 am for a trail run.
$625 is not bad E-locker with the ecu, and switch. It just seems that E-lockers is kind of hard to come by for a good price, But right now Im just broke so Im stuck with my current set up until I get a better job. :ybrick:
It took me about six months and I cant even tell you how many salvage yards. to find the parts
I been to many salvage yards too over here but no luck. Most of the 4Runner I find dont have the rear end and the ones that do have the rear end does not have E-lock -_-" Hope Im as lucky as you in my search
Very nice 4Runner. I especially like the metal bumpers. All the newer ones are plastic. Do you clay and wax/polish the paint any chance? It looks really good.
