Hello everyone...
I recently bought a cherry bone stock 1995 4runner 4x4 with factory 4:88 gears, sunroof and 180K miles.
So far not too many problems, but...
1) I had to by pass the transfer case cooler due to a crack in it.
2) Just put new front rotors and pads last night.
3) Leaking valve covers will need attention sooner or later.
But the real problem is the rear differential... It whines pretty bad going down the road.:cry2:
It came with the factory "G144" code 4:88 gears so I will have to find an entire used differential as the factory stock "thin" ring and pinion can't just be replaced.
I have owned many 4x4's (mostly Chevy's) but I have always wanted an older 4runner. I was looking for a 89' or older but I ran across a good deal. So far I am very happy with this 95' and will hopfully learn alot on this forum!
