FS: 3rd Gen "Holy Grail" 4Runner - 5 Speed and Factory Locker, $ 7,500 OBO Tucson, AZ
This is a VERY Difficult to find & RARE 99 4Runner ! Only about 2-3 % were made with BOTH a 5-Speed Manual AND a Factory Elocker rear differential.
These features set this 4Runner apart as the MOST DESIRED version of the famous 3rd Gen model.

The GOOD ...
VERY Good Engine/Trans/Transfer case/Locking Differential/Tires/Brakes. ==> ALL<== accessories, Power Windows - Power Door Locks - Electric Rear Mirrors - Radio - A/C- Heater etc. work 100 % as they should
Runs and Drives VERY well.
NO FLUID LEAKS ( Oil, PS, Trans,Transfer case, Differentials, Radiator etc )
NO RUST ( AZ Vehicle ) !
NEW Rear Gears - Axle Bearings
NEW Rear Differential Locking Actuator
NEW Plugs/Wires

It has NEVER failed me.
It now has 198,000 well-taken-care-of miles. I am the 2nd owner.
Receipts for the above work. Factory running boards available & will be installed if desired.
The BAD...
When cold - the clutch sometimes "drags". This makes it hard to engage 1st gear when moving from neutral to either 1st or Reverse gear. Once warmed up, this issue goes away. I have been told by a Transmission shop that this is the Pilot bearing. However, while it shifts smoothly most of the time, I am uncertain if this is the exact problem. .
Paint on Top is BAD Clear coat is GONE
Front end damage from a recent wreck.
NO frame damage from the Front Control-Arms rearward BUT, the front- end frame rail extensions (forward of the Control Arms) were pushed/bent about 1 1/2" - 2" towards the Passenger side.
Radiator was NOT damaged - A/C condenser was NOT damaged.
The A/C blows cold and the heater works fine - as the front wasn't hit that hard. No loss of radiator fluid or refrigerant from the accident.
Vehicle tracks perfectly straight - even if you take your hands off the wheel @ 60 MPH.
( PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS W/O EXTREME CAUTION ! )
This shows NO frame damage other than @ the very front-most extension part that holds the grill/bumper etc.
This 4Runner is NOT shown as a Salvage Title !
The accident wasn't reported. So the CARFAX is CLEAN. It shows a standard Title with 2 owners and NO ACCIDENTS. Just ask me for a copy of the CARFAX.
I am told this is an EASY Fix - but @ 70 years old and with 3 other cars,
I'll leave the repair to the buyer.
