Hi everyone. I'm very new to this forum and super excited about buying my first 4Runner! I just purchased a 2004 4WD Sport Edition. I've wanted a 4Runner as long as I can remember and when I found this one I jumped on it. I paid $3,500. It has 110,000 miles but is literally, "like new". The one owner is in the armed forces and kept it garaged while they were deployed and serviced perfectly. Did I get a good deal? Also, can anyone tell me what generation I have? I'm REALLY new.

No. He does NOT.... I repeat: HE DOES NOT need to change the timing belt as his is a V6 which has a timing CHAIN. If it were the 4.7L V8, then yes, he would have to change the timing BELT. Sorry, but this needed clarification.
