Hello everyone. I just picked up a 00 Limited 4WD yesterday. Color is Milenium Silver.

Had a 99 Land Cruiser in the family but got rid of it a year ago. I basically sold my modded 99 BMW 528i just so I can get back into an SUV again. So far, I am glad I did so... It is a huge change though...

Anyways, just wanted to say hello!

Welcome! i bet you'll miss the bmw in some sense, but just remember when it comes down to it, 4runners are simply the best  Your runner sounds pretty nice, how about some pics?

yeah bro... The BMW had it's fair share of problems... I don't have any pics of the Runner yet but I will take some this week.

Here is a pic of the 5er though.

And your color is officially called Millenium Silver Metallic just like I don't have a green 4Runner mine's called Imperial Jade Mica. :)

welcome aboard, man.

nice 5-er and runner.

what kind of problems did the 5 series give you? my friend is looking into buying used ones right now.

Thanks guys...

As for the color code, I was pretty confused with it because the paint code was K73. Not 1C0. So K73 is what the factory refers to as 1C0 body and 1C0 on the trim?

As far as problems go with the 5 series... At about 90k, the bearings on the water pump gave up and all the coolant came out... Ended up getting a new wp. Changed the t-stat, all the drive belts, and hoses. Got new O2 sensors, the thing has 4 of them, two pre-cats and two post-cats. Other stuff to look for would be the control arm bushings and tie rods. Worn out wheel bearings. Also the Vanos can go bad. Just a bunch of small of annoying problems. I got tired of it.

wow I like your previous car a lot! Welcome aboard the 4runner. Very solid and reliable car, but lacking power.

Thanks bro... I miss it already... Yeah it sure is lacking power... :( Anyone know if it is safe to supercharge with 80k miles?

sorry to hijack the thread, but I'd like to know if it's safe to supercharge at 130K miles ? :D :D :D

80k is exactly the milage I put on my supercharger. I've had my 98 since new and have taken great care of the engine.
Pulls almost 20 pounds of vacuum at idle and that is the max the gauge reads.
Have 98k now. If you tow, I think it is a great add on but if your in for spinning wheels(which it will do if you punch it), I'd get an upgraded transmission.
