Help! 4runner/Tundra Brake swap

So i have been thinking about performing the swap (231mm), thought where i live everything is expensive and the OEM stuff is super expensive so i was thinking about buying the stuff online. I was wondering which calipers , rotors , pads i should get from what iv seen and heard some people say there´s nothing like OEM however some people get other things which sometimes upgrade the performance. Well so far the ones iv found are :

1) CALIPERS :

a) NAPA which are (Raybestos , if am not mistaken)....$84.99 ea.
b) Centric Calipers.................................................$53.42 ea.
c) Centric Posi-quiet Calipers...................................$72.36 ea.
d) OEM calipers (toyota).........................................$296.20 ea.

2) Pads :

a) Akebono ProACT Ultra Premium Ceramic pads...$51.37

I followed BigFishAllDay's writeup almost to the note. I used the NAPA re-manned calipers. Used Brembo rotors ($60 ea. on Amazon) and Bosch quietcast pads (semi-metallic) (Amazon $40). I had to install spacers for the wheels to clear. The only thing I didn't get online was the calipers so I didn't have to deal with shipping on the cores. Everything works great and it stops like a champ. Hope this helps -
 
The problem which i have is that i dont live in the USA , so i must buy everything online since the stuff i can get here is limited plus expensive lets say for the OEM toyota stuff you would have to pay twice the price u guys pay in the US
 
The oem calipers are very high priced. I hate remans even if its Napa reman because like you stated they use rebestos or whatever other crappy reman they are using at that time.

I would rather buy used low mileage oem, found them online for around $60 each or local at a wrecker for about the same price, then new oem rotors and pads.

But like the guy said about following bigfish writeup is good

got a link for the used low mileage ones ? couldnt really find ones and since i have to pay shipping and everything from the USA to where i am i really need the things to function since one bad caliper could mean the project delaying a lot of time.
 
What about the napa total eclipse calipers? I just used them on mine along with all other oem parts for my 199mm tundra brake upgrade and they seem pretty nice.

Not sure who makes them or what core is used but they appear to be either painted or powder coated black. Not sure how rust resistant they are but might be worth a look.

i found everything on Amazon and most of the items were open box (Amazon Warehouse deals) i got pair of rotors, pair of calipers and Akebono 976 pads for about $250 and i didn't have to worry about core charges etc... i still have my old rotors and calipers sitting in my garage.
 
I also used amazon and I am more than happy I did. Went with the Centric Calipers(no core), Bosch rotors and wagner thermo quiet pads for a total of around $250. Have had them for a few months and I drive mountain passes every week and no fade so far, extremely good stopping power and the rotors and pads are lifetime warranty. I don't think I would have gone another route even if my budget had been $400 or so. Either way the tundra swap is incredible and worth the money.
