Centric Brake Caliper models

Hello,

Has anyone installed Centric 142 Series brake calipers to replace frozen OEM calipers? How do they compare to the Centric 141 series brake calipers? The Centric 142 series are loaded calipers with Posi-Quiet brake pads and the 141’s are semi-loaded calipers. The Centric 142 caliper’s also have a gold coating which I hope will prevent any rusting. I really did not want to have to paint the calipers before installing.

I was considering Napa Premium Brake rotors, centric premium rotors 120 series or Brembo rotors. They all cost around the same price. What type of brake rotors, if any, won’t rust when the truck is not being used? I was also considering picking up a set of Akebono ASP or ACT pad that I’ve found on sale.

Does anyone have any suggestion/recommendations and who makes the best stainless steel brake lines that fit properly. I’ve read that the Goodridge G-Stop High Performance SS Brakeline Kits don’t fit well at the caliper connection. I’ve also read that some have had issue with them breaking/leaking.

I appreciate any input or suggestions.

Thanks

I've had good luck with the Centric/Stoptech lines, and also CrownPerformance lines.

I used a mix of lines, Stoptech on all 4 calipers, and CrownPerformance on the above the rear axle.

I think CrownPerformance might have all the lines since they do make them extended.
